Ibadan, Oct. 10, 2024 (THEGAVEL) — The Oyo State House of Assembly has successfully advanced the supplementary budget presented by Governor Seyi Makinde to its second reading during Thursday’s plenary session. This significant step reflects the Assembly’s ongoing commitment to reviewing and aligning the state’s financial priorities. The proposed supplementary budget amounts to N79.337 billion, while the existing 2024 budget stands at N438,447,878,548.39, encompassing both recurrent and capital expenditures. This supplementary budget aims to address pressing economic challenges and facilitate the effective implementation of critical projects across the state. Additionally, it will help ensure the payment of the approved minimum wage for workers within the state’s Civil/Public Service, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to public service welfare.
