Senator Buruji Kashamu dies at 62

Buruji Kashamu, a former Senator representing Ogun East in the National Assembly, is dead. He was reported to have died of complications arising from Civic-19

He died at the First Cardiology Consultant Hospital in Lagos. A former Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce broke the news of his death on his twitter handle.

Murray-Bruce said: “I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss”.

Kashamu  was born on 19 May 1958 in Ogun State. He lived 8 Shagamu his country home. Senator Kashamu was the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on States and Local Government.
