By Olalekan Awojodu

The Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami SAN on Friday obtained an interim order from a National Industrial Court restraining the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from embarking on their planned strike that is scheduled to start on Monday September 28, 2020. This fresh order is the second within 24 hours.

The judge who granted the interim order, Justice Ibrahim Galadima is the same  judge that granted the one filed by  the Incorporated Trustees of Peace and Unity Ambassadors Association on Thursday.

Justice Galadima granted the order following an ex parte application by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.

The NLC and TUC had jointly declared to embark on a nationwide strike on Monday to demand for the reversal of the recent hike in electricity tariff and petrol pump price.
