An Akure High Court on Tuesday sentenced to life imprisonment, the founder of Sotitobire Praising Church, Prophet Babatunde Alfa for kidnapping Gold Kolawole, a child that got missing in the church sometimes ago.
Justice Olusegun Odusola handed over the life sentence to Prophet Alfa and five others on a two count charge of kidnap, aiding and abetting kidnap based on the circumstantial evidence presented by the prosecution.
The trial judge condemned in strong terms the complicity, compromise, and lackadaisical attitude of the Ondo state police command after Gold got missing which also led the burning of Sotitobire Church.
