Ibadan, Oct. 14, 2024 (TheGavel) – Three hotel employees were arraigned on Monday before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing N10 million from their employer, Blue Moon Hotel and Lounge.
The accused, Oyindamola Adeyinka (31), Temitope Adewale (32), and Ademide Idowu (27), who served as a manager, bar attendant, and storekeeper respectively, all pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy and theft.
According to the prosecutor, Cpl. Akeem Akinloye, the defendants allegedly conspired and stole the sum of N10 million between May and August from their workplace, which belonged to their employer, Mr. Olawale Odumosu.
The alleged offences contravene Sections 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi granted the defendants bail, each in the sum of N2.5 million, with two sureties in the same amount. One surety must own landed property with valid title, while the second must be a blood relation.
The case was adjourned to Jan. 14, 2025, for hearing. (NAN)
