A 36-year old man, Sulemon Hammed, was on Friday, arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing car tyres worth N80,000.
Hammed, whose address was not provided, is being charged with stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Iyabo Oladoyin told the court that the defendant committed the offence at about 12.00p.m on Monday, at ROM oil, Ibadan.
Oladoyin said that the defendant stole four tyres belonging to a firm, White Show Company, Ibadan.
She said the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Aug. 12 for hearing.
