Moughalu Officially Resigns from APC

Dr George Moughalu, immediate past Managing Director of Nigeria Inland WaterWays Agency(NIWA), has formally resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress(APC)

Awka, Aug. 27, 2024 (TheGavel) — Dr. George Moughalu, the former Managing Director of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Moughalu announced his departure in a letter submitted to the party and shared with journalists in Awka on Tuesday.

In his resignation letter, Moughalu cited personal reasons for his decision.

“I bring you the good wishes of my dear family and formally notify you of my decision to resign from the All Progressives Congress (APC), effective today, August 26, 2024,” Moughalu stated. “I hope that we will continue to uphold the cordial relationships we have built over the years.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Moughalu, who had previously indicated his intention to leave the party in June 2024, was a founding member of APC. He had been affiliated with the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and later the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) before the formation of APC in 2014. (NAN)
