A Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Send a Child to School, in conjunction with Joseph and Oreoluwa Agbomoagan Foundation at the weekend announced the names of seven candidates that won their scholarship into the Nigerian Law School.

They are Glory Aluaka, a law graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State; Victoria Nbanasor from University of Nigeria, Nsuka, Blessing Bakare, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Minachimso Alex-Uzuatu, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa, Ese-Otu Uriri Ayomide, OSU, Chioma Nnamchi, UNN, and Qudus Olaosebikan from Ekiti State University.

According to the brain behind the foundations, Mr Lugard Agbomoagan, a lawyer said that Joseph & Oreoluwa Agbomoagan Foundation was founded in honour of his late parents to cater for the wellbeing of the aged, while A Vision to Nurture and Send A Child 2 School Africa Initiative was founded to cater for the indigents and provide educational support from primary to post graduate education. The foundation has several scholarship schemes, especially in Ekiti State. Agbomoagan is from Ikere-Ekiti.

The lawyer said that the milestone reflects an unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation of legal professionals in Nigeria. “From supporting students from primary, secondary, tertiary institutions to now providing scholarships at the Nigerian Law School, our journey has been transformative”, he said.

He thanked those involved in the selection and members of the foundation for making the opportunity possible. “Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our youths and strengthening the legal profession in Nigeria”, he concluded.
