American singers Usher and Chris Brown have reportedly engaged in a backstage argument ahead of their joint concert in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday night, contributing to a delay of nearly three hours.

According to sources cited by TMZ, the disagreement centred on when the performers should begin the show as fans were still arriving at the venue amid heavy traffic.

Sources told the entertainment outlet that Usher wanted the performance to commence as scheduled, while Brown preferred to wait until more concertgoers had arrived and taken their seats.

The disagreement reportedly escalated into an exchange of words between the two musicians, with sources claiming that competition and personal egos had contributed to tensions throughout their joint R&B Tour.

However, the sources suggested that the dispute was unlikely to affect the continuation of the tour, although the singers had yet to resolve their differences.

The delayed performance reportedly frustrated several fans who had waited for hours for the concert to begin.

Usher and Brown were scheduled to return to the stage in Atlanta on Friday night for another performance.

The reported disagreement comes three years after the singers were involved in another confrontation at Brown’s birthday celebration in 2023.

TMZ reported at the time that Usher intervened after Brown allegedly began shouting at singer Teyana Taylor during the event.

The latest incident has renewed attention on the relationship between the two R&B stars as they continue their joint tour.
