EFCC arrests suspected fraudster wanted by FBI

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a fraud suspect Emmanuel Dike Chidiebere.
Chidiebere had been on the wanted list of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He is accused of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering.
Following intelligence, the EFCC tracked him to Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State where he was caught.
Chidiebere is alleged to have defrauded some citizens of the United States of America, Cote D’Ivoire and Poland.
He went underground after fleecing them of large amounts of money. Three of his accomplices are still at large, according to the anti-graft agency
Last week, another suspect wanted by the FBI, Kelechi Vitalis Anozie, was apprehended. He is the Founder of Praying City Church in Owerri, the capital of Imo.
A fortnight ago, Osondu Victor Igwilo, also on the FBI liste since 2018, was nabbed at a studio in Lagos.
Igwilo was arrested alongside Okafor Nnamdi Chris, Nwodu Uchenna Emmanuel and John Anazo Achukwu in the Sangotedo area.
