Gov, Abiodun, Christian leaders celebrate Oyedepo at 69

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and thousands of dignitaries across the world on Wednesday celebrate the birthday of the Presiding Bishop and Founder of the Living Faith Church(Winners Chapel), Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo on his 69th birthday.

Others who have congratulated the man of God include Bishop David Abioye, Pastor Paul Enenche, Pastor David Oyedepo(Jnr), Pastor David Ibieyomie, and his wife, Pastor(Mrs) Faith Abiola Oyedepo.

Governor Abiodun described Bishop Oyedepo, as a shining light in Christendom, a great man of God, and an educationist worth emulating.

The governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Lekan Adeniran, praised Bishop Oyedepo’s commitment to God, saying he daily motivates his congregation and the larger society to live a purposeful life in accordance with God’s plan.

“Your teachings have transformed the lives of many and have shaped the destiny of our nation. As a preacher, you exemplify excellence and have been a source of inspiration to many. Your commitment to the spread of the gospel has not only brought salvation to countless souls, but it has also helped shape the moral fabric of our society,” Abiodun said.

He said that through his involvement in the education sector, the man of God has succeeded in producing many scientists, bankers, lawyers, administrators, among others, adding that one of his universities has consistently been ranked among the best in Africa.

The governor also commended Bishop Oyedepo’s humanitarian efforts, particularly through the David Oyedepo Foundation, which provides scholarships, medical and entrepreneurial support to thousands of people.

“I am grateful for your contributions to the development of Ogun State, particularly in the area of education. Your investment in Covenant University and other educational institutions in the state have greatly impacted the lives of our youth and have helped to raise the standard of education in the state,” Abiodun said.

He prayed that God will continue to bless Bishop Oyedepo with good health, wisdom, and divine guidance as he continues to impact lives and fulfil his divine mandate.

Abiodun prayed for God’s continued blessings and guidance upon the Bishop, as well as for more years of impactful service to humanity.

“Once again, I wish you a happy 69th birthday, and I pray that God will grant you many more years in good health,” Abiodun concluded.

In his own message, Bishop Abioye who is second to Oyedepo in the Living Faith Church hierarchy stated: “We join the innumerable host of heaven and earth in giving glory to God for sparing your life till this moment that is loaded with abundance of grace and impact to the body of Christ globally and to us;

On this joyous occasion, we rejoice with you and pray that God will continue to grant you strength in pursuit of His purpose for your life in days and years ahead. We also pray that God who has called you will sustain you and mummy with His peace and comfort till the end. Psalm 71:21. Once again, happy 69th birthday Sir”.

One of the Bishop’s son in Ministry, Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International,  Abuja  said: “Today, my wife, my children and I, alongside the entire Dunamis Commission worldwide are most grateful to God in celebrating our spiritual father and covering, God’s General, Bishop David Oyedepo. Thank you for being our father, ladder and feather, it has saved us from unnecessary twists and turns on the journey of life and destiny. Likewise thank you for showing us that what is possible with you can be done anywhere in the world. Through your life we’ve been lighted and those of millions around the globe. Many more years of dogged focus, impact and fire in Jesus’ name. We love you Sir and we wish you a very happy birthday!

Pastor David Ibieyomie of Salvation Ministries said: “Today I celebrate my father and mentor, a man of unspeakable wisdom, love, and grace, God’s battle axe in our generation; Bishop David Oyedepo. As you turn 69, may God’s Mighty Hand continually shower you with all that heaven has in store for you. Happy Birthday Daddy”.

Oyedepo’s first son, Pastor David(jnr) was also full of gratitude to his father. “What a privilege it is to be in your lineage spiritually and biologically! I remain grateful to God for such unmerited Favour. I celebrate you for being an excellent example to our family and the world! May the hand of the Lord continue to move you forward in all that concerns you. Congratulations MY FATHER!”.

Oyedepo’s spouse of more than 40 years, Pastor Faith was full of prayers for the man of God. “Happy birthday to my dear husband, Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo. Your latter years shall be greater than the past, in Jesus’ name, amen! I love you with passion”, she stated.

Bishop David Oyedepo has made an outstanding impact in Christian Ministry across the world with churches in other African countries, Europe and America. His church has also made remarkable impact in the education sector, training hundreds of thousands from primary schools, through Secondary Schools to tertiary institutions. His ministry founded Kingdom Heritage group of primary schools which is spread across Nigeria. The same goes for Faith Academy group of schools also across Nigeria and other African countries. Oyedepo is the Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University. He was born on September 27, 1954, in Omu Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria.

He founded the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, which has grown to become one of the largest Christian denominations in Nigeria and the world at large.
