A housewife, Hajara Dahiru, has prayed to an Upper Area Court Mararaba,  Abuja to dissolve her marriage to husband, Yunusa Audu, for alleged lack of intimacy and defamation.

Dahiru had approached the court seeking dissolution of her marriage with Audu for lack of initimacy, defamation and public disgrace.

According to Dahiru , her husband married her under sharia Islamic law, both parties reside in Angwa Albarka Mararaba, within the court’s jurisdiction.

Dahiru alleged that Audu failed to perform his duties as the husband. She further alleged that he labeled her a prostitute, and accused her of having affairs.

Dahiru said he insults her in public for no reason therefore causing her emotional trauma.

In his response, Audi  denied the petitioner’s allegation. The Judge, Adamu Haruna, gave the couple two weeks to settle the matter amicably and adjourned the case until May 18 for feedback.
