Assuming his role as Sector Commander on August 8, Uga expressed his commitment to performing his duties effectively. He urged motorists to comply with traffic regulations and highlighted the readiness of the command’s tow truck operatives to address and remove improperly parked vehicles without exception.

Uga is optimistic that, with the support of Imo residents, the command will achieve significant milestones in road safety. Additionally, he plans to work closely with other security agencies to enhance intelligence gathering and address security concerns.

Mr. Chibunna Nwamgborogwu, the command’s Public Relations Officer, praised Uga as “a square peg in a square hole,” expressing confidence in his ability to leverage his extensive experience to advance the FRSC’s mission in Imo. Uga, who holds a doctorate in History and International Relations from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, previously served as Corps Commander in charge of Transport before his transfer to Imo.

The FRSC’s Imo Command looks forward to new developments under Uga’s leadership, aiming for improved road safety and public awareness.
