Late former Ghanaian President, Jerry Rawlings to be laid to rest Dec 23

The remains of former Ghanaian President, the late Flt Lt John Jerry Rawlings will be laid to rest on December 23, 2020.

His widow, Nana Kunadu Agyemang Rawlings revealed this to Gavel International on a phone interview a few hours ago.

The late Rawlings 73, died on November 12, 2020 of complications as a result of the Covid-19 virus. He ruled Ghana both as a Military Head of State, and two term Democratic President. He tenure is believed to have laid the foundation for the present Ghanaian prosperity.

His wife Mrs Rawlings is the Presidential candidate for National Democratic Party(NDP) in the Monday December 7 elections.

He told Gavel International: “it is not easy burying my mother-in-law in October, losing my husband in November, and then contesting an election in December”.
