A law undergraduate of Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife, Ogunsakin Ayomide Anjolaoluwa is one of the 100 young tech entrepreneurs recognized during at TEKIFEST conference which took place in Lagos on November 29, 2023.
Tagged TEKIFES TOP 100, the conference recognized and gave awards to 100 young people in different areas of endeavour. Ogunsakin was recognized over her interest in Decentralized Finance. She is the founder of DeFi Law Digest, and has maintained a weekly column Gavel International@ www.thegavel.com.ng titled: Decentralized Finance Law, where she examines and espouses local and international laws and regulations that guides decentralized finance instruments.
This award ceremony took place during the Tekifest Conference organized by Tekisite, a digital literacy project targeted at promoting digital inclusion through the empowerment of teenagers and youths with digital skills which was founded by Abass Oyeyemi, of blessed memory.
Tekisite is the flagship of the Reaching Minds Foundation, also founded by late Oyeyemi. The focal point of the Tekisite project is to bridge the skills gap and match talented youths and teenagers with opportunities in the tech space, in a bid to reduce crime and promote human capacity in Nigeria.
The Tekifest conference was held at The Zone, in Gbagada Lagos, and was tagged “The Future of Work:Talent Pipeline Investment.
It had in attendance, several brilliant minds in Nigeria’s technology industry, some of whom were speakers, sharing their experiences and insights on the way forward for the future of work in technology.
Ayomide is a Decentralized Finance enthusiast and writer with over two years experience, in the tech space, and she founded DeFi Law Digest — a pioneering publication dedicated to exploring the legal arena of Cryptocurrency and Decentralized Finance — in 2023.
This initiative was born in recognition of the fact that the Law undeniably holds a significant future in DeFi and Web3, and more individuals need to be conversant with how this future will potentially shape the industry.
Thus, the content published at DeFi Law Digest is aimed at providing insights into regulatory developments and navigating legal intricacies in the Crypto and DeFi industry.
As a recognition of her contributions through this platform, Ayomide was nominated and selected as a recipient of the “Top Teki 100 Awards” in honour of her achievements, outstanding contributions to innovation, dedication to excellence, and in celebration of the collective brilliance of the tech community.
