An aspirant in the just concluded All Progressives Congress(APC) primary elections to the Federal House of Representatives in Ekiti State, Dr Yemi Olayinka on Sunday evening congratulated the winner in his Federal Constituency, Mr Sola Fatoba, and other contestants saying that as a democrat a d good party man, he accepted the result as declared by the party officials.
Dr Olayinka contested at the Ado-Irepodun Federal constituency with other aspirants including Architect Tope Ogunleye, and Sunday Ola, but lost to the incumbent, Mr Fatoba.
In a statement accepting the results of the election, Dr Olayinka said: “I hereby congratulate Hon. Sola Fatoba for his victory in the well contested primary election in Ekiti central Federal Constituency 1. I would like to appreciate other contestants in the election especially Architect Tope Ogunleye and Hon. Sunday Ola , you are all heroes;
At this juncture, let us all put the election behind us and support our dear party, APC with the same vigor with which we handled the primary election. As for me, I believe in this democracy. I believe in our party. I believe we can do better in unison. Let us embrace peace. Let us work hard for our victory come 20th June election”.
Olayinka thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ekiti State governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and the entire national executive members of APC for the conduct of a peaceful primary election. He assured the governor of his support in the upcoming governorship election on June 20. “June 20 is a date with destiny,” he concluded.
