Osun State Chief Judge denies Adedoyin bail

Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo on Monday at an Osogbo High Court ruled that the health of Dr Rahmon Adedoyin, Chairman of Hilton Hotels currently standing trial for the murder of a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, is not under threat. She therefore denied his bail application.

Chief Adedoyin and other defendants, Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwole Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem Adebayo Kunle and Adedeji Adesola will be remanded in a correctional center while trial goes on.

They were arraigned on eleven counts of charges which bothered murder, conspiracy, felony amongst others.

Upon arraignment, the counsel to the defendants, Adekunle Adegoke, K. K Eleja and Okon Ita had moved the bail application for seven defendants which was opposed by the prosecutor, M. Omosun.

The bail was argued by the counsel and prosecutor and Justice Adepele Ojo reserves ruling till today.
