PDP Wins 15 of 17 Chairmanship Seats in Plateau

Jos, Oct. 10, 2024 (THEGAVEL) — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured 15 out of the 17 chairmanship positions in Plateau State. The Plateau Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) conducted elections on Saturday to fill chairmanship and councilor positions across all 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.

Mr. Planji Cishak, Chairman of PLASIEC, announced the results, noting that the outcomes for Pankshin and Langtang-North LGAs are still pending. He confirmed that the elected candidates met all legal requirements for their positions. However, he mentioned that the results for the councilorship seats would be announced at a later time.
