Senate Confirms Ex-CBN Chief, Lemo, as FERMA Boss

The Senate has confirmed the appointment of a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Tunde Lemo, as Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency.

At the plenary on Wednesday, the lawmakers  adopted the  report of  the Committee on FERMA recommending  Lemo and seven others for the agency’s  board.

While Nurudeen Rafindadi was confirmed as  Managing Director, the Executive Directors are Buba Abdullah, Babagana Aji, Shah Abdullah, Loretta Aniagolu, Mujaidu Dako and Vincent Kolawale.

Chairman of the committee, Senator Magnus Abe, said the panel found the nominees worthy of the appointments during their screening.

Meanwhile, the Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs on Wednesday laid its report on the screening of chairman and commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission.

Chairman of the committee, Senator Yele Omogunwa, made the presentation.
