Tiger Attack at Australian Amusement Park Leaves Woman Hospitalized

Sydney, Australia -(TheGavel) – A woman was hospitalized after a tiger attacked her while she was working at Dreamworld, Australia’s largest amusement park, local media reported on Monday.

The woman, a trained animal handler, suffered injuries to her arm and was taken to the hospital in a stable condition. The incident occurred at the theme park, which is home to nine Sumatran and Bengal tigers, on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Dreamworld acknowledged the incident in a statement, saying, “This was an isolated and rare incident, and we will conduct a thorough review accordingly.”

The theme park spokesperson assured that the incident would be thoroughly investigated to ensure the safety of both visitors and staff. (dpa/NAN)
