President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of several individuals to key leadership positions across various federal agencies and institutions, including the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the National Automotive Development Council.
In a statement released on Friday by his spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President named Mr. Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the Board Chairman of the NTA.
Hon. Fatuhu Buhari from Katsina State was appointed as the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council, while Malam Muhammad Massan, APC State Chairman from Bauchi, will serve as the Board Chairman of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute, Ilorin. Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, APC State Chairman from Kano, was named Board Chairman of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service.
Other appointments include Dr. Austian Agada, APC State Chairman from Benue, as Board Chairman of the National Agricultural Seed Council, and Hon. Macdonald Ebere, APC State Chairman from Imo, as Board Chairman of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos.
Mr. Ubong Ntukekpo, APC State Chairman from Akwa Ibom, was appointed Board Chairman of the National Institute for Freshwater Fish, New Bussa, while Chief Emma Eneukwu, Deputy Chairman (South) of the APC, will chair the National Automotive Development Council.
Additional appointments include Mr. Aminu Bobi, APC State Chairman from Niger, as Board Chairman of the National Library of Nigeria, and Pharm. Abass Olayide, APC State Chairman from Oyo, as Board Chairman of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Kaduna.
The President also named Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, APC State Chairman from Yobe, as Board Chairman of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, and Mr. Benjamin Omale, APC State Chairman from Benue, as Board Chairman of the National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu.
Other notable appointments include Mr. Rufus Bature, APC State Chairman from Plateau, as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Coal Corporation, and Alhaji Abubakar Kana, APC State Chairman from Kebbi, as Board Chairman of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies.
Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, an APC National Working Committee Member from Abia, was appointed Board Chairman of the Project Development Institute, while Mr. Mustapha Salihu, APC State Chairman from Adamawa, will chair the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.
Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, APC State Chairman from Abia, was named Board Chairman of the National Parks Headquarters, and Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, APC State Chairman from the Federal Capital Territory, will chair the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan.
Other appointments include Hon. Ibrahim El-Sudi, APC State Chairman from Taraba, as Board Chairman of the Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria, and Mr. Sola Elesin, APC State Chairman from Ekiti, as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences.
The President also appointed Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, APC State Chairman from Edo, as Board Chairman of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, and Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, APC State Chairman from Zamfara, as Board Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Azare.
Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, APC State Chairman from Jigawa, was named Board Chairman of the Federal College of Produce Inspection and Stored Products Technology, Kano, while Barr. Idris Shuaibu, APC State Chairman from Adamawa, will chair the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.
