President Bola Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, begin a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers States, during which he will commission several projects and attend political engagements.
The President will first visit Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, to inaugurate projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and participate in a political rally.
Ahead of the visit, Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to welcome the President.
Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at Victor Attah International Airport.
Tinubu will also inaugurate the Airport-Okopedi Road, which traverses Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, as well as Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
Other projects lined up for commissioning include the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.
The President is expected to depart Akwa Ibom for Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, where he will attend an All Progressives Congress rally.
The Rivers rally will be his third major political engagement since the commencement of his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
The visits are also expected to provide opportunities for Tinubu to interact with political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while reinforcing calls for national unity, political stability and collective commitment to the country’s development.
