To cushion the effect of the lockdown of the nation over the coronavirus pandemic on junior lawyers, two senior lawyers, Prince Latest Fagbemi SAN, and Dr Wale Babalakin SAN have donated funds to their branches for onward disbursement to lawyers in need.
While Fagbemi donated five million naira to the Ibadan branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Babalakin donated two million naira to the Lagos branch.
Fagbemi’s instruction to the NBA is that the fund should be disbursed at N20,000 naira each to 250 young lawyers. Babalakin also instructed that the donation should be disbursed to lawyers in need due to the effect of the coronavirus pandemic
