A fuel tanker carry full load of petrol on Saturday afternoon fell on two commercial buses on Abeokuta expressway at Kollington Bus Stop, Alagbado, Lagos.

As at the time of filing this report, a lady is trapped inside one of the buses and is presumed dead. Every effort by fire fighters on the ground to bring her out has proved abortive.

The two commercial buses, with registration number EPE 958 and EKY 270 were moving towards Sango-Ota Toll gate, while the trailer was also moving the same direction, at exactly 4.00pm  when the accident occurred, precisely at Nureni Yusuf junction, the trailer fell on the two busses.

Many of the passengers that escaped form the were students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Agoe Iwoye, who were returning home for the Christmas break. Those injured have been taken to the hospital.

At the time of filing, this report, fire fighters are at the scene trying to prevent any outbreak of fire.  An eye witness said that the tanker had to be moved before the trapped lady can be rescued, dead or alive.

The inward Abeokuta part of the expressway had been a death trap for long as the road is impassable with craters in every part of the road. Only last year, www.thegavel.com.ng reported a story on two trailers that had a collision and locked together for almost one week before they could be serperated.
