A Magistrate Court sitting in the Yaba area of Lagos State on Wednesday remanded Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, alias Sam Larry, to police Custody over the death of a musician, Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Adeola Olatubosun, gave the order following the police application seeking further remand for 21 days in their custody in the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCID.

She also ordered that the suspects should be granted access to medicals and lawyers of their choice.

Earlier, DSP Umaru Bello and ASP Augustine Nwabuisi, who led the police prosecution team urged the court to remand the men for 30 days to establish that an offense was committed.

Further hearing has been adjourned till October 25.

Naira Marley surrendered himself to the police after he arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday, October 4, promising to assist the police in unraveling the death of the late Aloba.

Mohbad died on September 12 in Lagos
